SEFA Guideline on delivery forms of empty steel drums
Dear customers,
The European Steel Drum Association (SEFA) has published a new guideline on the delivery forms of empty steel drums. The document is aimed in particular at customers, fillers and users of steel drums and provides practical guidance on selecting suitable delivery forms, avoiding transport damage and ensuring the safe handling of palletised drums.
The guideline describes different transport and delivery forms, including loose loading and palletised delivery, as well as suitable load-securing measures. It also includes information on occupational safety, pallet formats, palletising methods and additional securing systems for filled, ready-to-ship loading units.
With this guideline, SEFA aims to contribute to safer transport, better coordination between drum manufacturers and fillers, and the prevention of damage to newly delivered empty steel drums.
The SEFA Guideline is here downloadable.
Kind regards
