SEFA information document on PPWR compliance

Dear customers,

SEFA prepared an information document on PPWR compliance.

• This document is primarily intended for SEFA member companies, in particular manufacturers of steel drums and other industrial sales packaging. The document is designed to provide guidance on which role they may assume under the PPWR and which information, documentation and conformity obligations result from this.
• The key content is a practical guide to PPWR compliance: the paper explains responsibilities along the supply chain, requirements for technical documentation and declarations of conformity, known and still open PPWR requirements, as well as sample wording and Q&A for customer enquiries. Its aim is to support SEFA members in preparing for the new evidence and documentation obligations from 2026 onwards.
